Muhammad Siddique

Founder & CEO

More than 28 years in taxation and corporate affairs, with a strong record of favourable decisions before SECP and FBR tribunals.

Muhammad Siddique has more than 28 years' experience in taxation and corporate affairs. He began his career with the mandatory period of training at Rahman Sarfaraz & Co. Chartered Accountants (now Rahman Sarfaraz Rahim Iqbal Rafiq & Co.), where he served as Manager Tax and Corporate.

He holds a Master in Business Administration from a reputed private university, and Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Law from the University of Karachi. He is certified by the Institute of Taxation Management and the Institute of Corporate Secretaries.

Mr. Siddique has appeared before various tribunals of the SECP and FBR with a successful record of favourable decisions, and serves on the boards of several companies as Company Secretary. He established M.S.Consultants in association with Hatim Rangwala in 2010, following the passing of the late Sarfaraz Hussain Siddiqi, Senior Partner at Rahman Sarfaraz & Co.

Hatim Rangwala, FCA

Chief Executive

A Chartered Accountant since 1996, with senior finance leadership across textiles, oil and gas marketing, and FMCG.

Hatim Rangwala FCA has been a qualified Chartered Accountant since 1996, having completed his training at Sidat Hyder Qamar Maqbool & Co., now EY Ford Rhodes. He brings more than 22 years of post-qualification experience.

He began as Assistant Manager Audit at a Chartered Accountants firm, then spent almost six years with a leading manufacturer and exporter of home textiles, rising from Senior Accountant to Manager Accounts. He has since served as Manager Finance at an oil and gas marketing company, Chief Financial Officer in textiles and apparel manufacturing, and Group Financial Controller at a nationwide FMCG company.

Responsible for supervising and monitoring

The company secretarial function, handling all corporate governance matters
Financial and cost accounting activities of the company
Designing and maintaining the accounting structure for the company's business segments and production hubs
Designing and implementing internal control procedures, and deploying the internal audit structure
Designing MIS reports for management and implementing them
Deploying the import and export department under DTRE and duty remission laws
Preparing the company's financial strategic plans
Monitoring and checking product costing
Design and implementation of pre- and post-shipment order costing
Liaison with insurance surveyors on loss assessment, interpretation of insurance clauses and settlement of claims
Labour matters with the Employees' Old-Age Benefits Institution and Employees' Social Security Institution, including clearance of all prior issues and audits up to June 2006
Handling and supervising income tax and sales tax issues
Preparing financial models and information memoranda for new projects
Equity regularisation for direct foreign investment
Heading social compliance and social responsibility customer audits

Insurance and special assignments

Liaison with leading insurance and re-insurance surveyors on the loss assessment of 27 December 2007 for the Rs. 1.24 billion RSD claim of Maxco (Pvt.) Limited, through to successful finalisation, settlement and acceptance of the claim
Member of the due-diligence team for the acquisition of GURU, a fashion brand registered in Italy, on behalf of an international Italian company
Implementation Manager and Lead Business Analyst for the implementation of various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modules
Presently working on SAP Business One (B1 Suite)
